Stelvio Toronto: Black & White Aesthetics

I don’t remember exactly why I choose to eat at this place - my friends and I were looking for somewhere to eat close to the Kit Kat Chocolatory popup that opened on Queen Street West. Though, I’m glad we choose this one because it was delicious!

The restaurant was nice and cozy - I loved the napkins, which might be a bit strange to say but oh well. They had a small patio if you like sitting outside but it was a little hot for me, so no thanks.

My friend and I started with the Tagliere Salumi. What’s better than a variety of thin, salted slices of meat paired with vinegary & spicy pickled vegetables? Will always recommend anyone to get this one.

For my main, I went with the Tortelli Di Zucca Alla Mantovana - squash ravioli with butter & sage sauce topped with pumpkin seeds. This was surprisingly tasty but I’m not the biggest fan of sweet pasta’s - I’d much rather prefer a savoury option.

However, the dish was tasty: the pasta was cooked just right, the filling & sauce was rich and the addition of pumpkin seeds added some great texture.

This place is definitely worth giving a try. You can find their website here. 8/10 recommend

Enjoy
